Writings read at or for Al’s Wake October 31, 2009

Dave Crowe wrote this piece. He had hoped to come up with Patrick from Lancaster. (Dave knew Al during the time Al was based in Bentham, N.Yorks. He now lives in Crediton near Exeter)
Al Pelowski, mad as a badger, high as a kite, proficient with the chain saw and occasionally very, very funny indeed.
The inventor of the six egg omelette, genius with vertebrae manipulation, and getting engines started on frosty mornings.
Bless his Minnesotan ice hockey jockey strange historied sacro-cranial kiln firing heart.
As his fellow Minnesotan Bob Dylan prepares to become the voice of sat-nav… let’s hope they both can find Fennario.

“To everyone who knew Al, you are warmly invited to come to Waukmill, Lois and Crail’s home in New Galloway, SW scotland on Octber 24th from 11am.
We will spread the ashes into the burn, share memories, poems, songs and music.
Then we will have a relaxed meal.
If it’s convenient please bring some food to share.
It will be a time to celebrate Al’s life and wish him well on his new journey.
Lois has kindly offered bed and floor space for anyone who needs a place to stay on friday or saturday night. Contact Lois on lois.aitkenhead@btinternet.com. If extra sleeping space is required she will know who can offer beds nearby.
Waukmill is a mile out of New Galloway village on the road signed to Newton Stewart. On the left, driving west. No sign but a big wheelie bin printed Waukmill marks the opening to the drive.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
love Jo

This space is for anyone who feels they would like to share memories, reflections, thoughts about Al.
There is already a space for fellow practitioners and his students in SA :

This space is more for old friends in general. It will feel a bit rough and ready as I’m learning by doing, finding my way, but I thought it was good to get it up and running asap.
